At a Brighter Community our staff are more than just employees, they are family. It is their dedication and love for our mission that makes us great. Fifty percent of our current staff members have been with our organization more than five years.
We HONOR and LOVE each of our staff members.

I’m here because when I see our kids, I see the future of our community. I want to serve and represent these children—they remind me of my very own: loving, fun, innocent, and playful. And it’s our responsibility to make sure they have access to quality education.
Molly Walker, Vice President
Finance Manager at PSCU
I choose to serve A Brighter Community because all children deserve an equal chance at success, which starts with early education. A Brighter Community not only provides a safe and fun learning environment for children, they also focus on the overall wellbeing of the child and their family, including providing support to parents as they work to improve the lives of their families. The spirit and excitement that you feel walking into the preschool is overwhelming, being a part of ensuring the school is there for years to come, is the reason I serve.

As a former high school teacher, I saw firsthand the effects of the achievement gap—the disparities in academic performance between groups of students. I strongly believe that to bridge that gap, intervention must start early, and A Brighter Community is doing the work to make that happen. We have a collective responsibility to make sure our children have access to quality, affordable childcare, and serving on the board at ABC is just me doing my part.
Britani Harvey, Treasurer
I choose to serve A Brighter Community because I am a product of a single parent family, which is also one of the major groups served at this school. I enjoy giving back to others and making a lasting, positive impact on society at large and I love children. I strongly believe that with each blessing God gives me I should share it with others and make a difference.

Growing up, I was always inspired by my mom’s enthusiasm for volunteering and I have tutored children in reading and math since I was in college. Combining my desire to find a way to ‘give back’ and tutoring, A Brighter Community allows me to contribute in a meaningful way to an organization devoted to children’s education.

I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors for A Brighter Community. To me, Early Childhood Education is an important stage which lays the foundation for life-long learning and development, it serves as the starting point for formal education. My goal as a board member is to help ABC in its mission to create a brighter future for at risk children in the Tampa Bay area. I am pleased to be a small part of such a wonderful organization with such a worthy mission.

As a Florida native, born and raising my family in the beautiful City of Tampa, I truly believe in our community. It is a community filled with diverse opportunity, grand traditions, and giving and kind spirited individuals. I view the young families in our community as our future and believe, regardless of economic or social factors, they should have access to early education and family support programs to guide them toward being “somebodys.” A Brighter Community accomplishes these objectives through its mission and purpose, and I am humbled to serve and support its programs.
State and Local Tax Director at Cliffton Larson Allen
I choose to serve a Brighter Community because of the pivotal role it plays in providing a foundation for and developing our community’s most valuable members. Education and stability are essential for a child’s progress, and having children of my own I appreciate the value that education brings, and the fact that not everyone in our community is fortunate enough to have access to quality education and a supportive network.
