Impacts and Outcomes

Every three year old student who attends A Brighter Community (ABC) is given the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ).  The ASQ measures the domains of communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem solving skills and personal-social skills.  The ASQ is conducted every 6 months.

* Our goal is that 100% of the three year old students attending full-time will score 75% or better on the ASQ.
Every four year old student who attends A Brighter Community is given the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Assessment.  This assessment measures for print knowledge, phonological awareness, mathematics and oral/language/vocabulary.  The VPK assessment is conducted 3 times a year.

* Our goal is that 85% of the four year old students attending full-time will meet or exceed expectations in the VPK assessment.

* Our goal is that 85% of the four year old students attending full-time will test ready for kindergarten based on the Kindergarten Readiness Rate provided by the VPK assessment.
