A Brighter Community Alumni 2002 – 2004

Chase Evans

Chase Evans attended A Brighter Community from 2002 – 2004 at the age of 4 to 5 years old.  A Brighter Community provided Chase with a solid preschool education prior to her entry into Kindergarten.  Chase was accepted into her first magnet program in the fourth grade.  She is now entering her junior year at Chamblee Charter High School in Chamblee, GA as a Magnet Student.  The Chamblee Charter High Magnet Program is for high achievers who will benefit from a fast-paced, stimulating and challenging course of work.  The Magnet Program places a special emphasis on preparing students to succeed through higher-order critical thinking skills, creative and cooperative teaching, fluency in a second language, extensive computer-based and multimedia instruction, and the infusion of multicultural literature.

Chase has been playing violin for 7 years and has completed state wide competitions such as Solo, Ensemble, GMEA, All State and Large Group Performance Evaluation.  Chase is the principal second violinist on the Chamblee Charter High School Orchestra as well as Concert Master of Dekalb Youth Symphony Orchestra. 

Chase plans on going to college to obtain a degree in Music Therapy and Performance.
